Financial Literacy and Debt Management

The MD Program Office of Financial Aid at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is committed to providing our medical students with financial literacy and debt management resources to assist them in making better financial and student loan decisions. The financial literacy and debt management information provided primarily focuses on making good choices in budgeting, borrowing, and repayment of student loans.

This section of our website is dedicated to providing students with up-to-date financial literacy information for current and future medical students. The overall goal is to help our students minimize their student loan indebtedness and provide information that will assist them in the pursuit of obtaining a medical doctorate.

In addition to the information provided on these pages, we encourage our students to pursue financial knowledge and confidence through the online financial literacy educational programming of the AAMC. Students can log in, read and work through modules on various financial topics at: aamc.org/first/studentguide.
