PA Program New and Continuing Students
- PA Program First Year

Incoming students begin their academic work in the last semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. Students will first be packaged for summer. A separate request must be submitted for the fall/spring semesters. Students will be packaged as follows: institutional scholarships, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan. If additional scholarship funds are awarded to a student, the package will be revised.
An aid offer notification will be provided to you via email after these materials have been submitted and reviewed.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at: studentaid.gov.
- You must complete or transfer the 2024-2025 FAFSA for summer 2025 aid request with school code E00197.
- Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA with school code E00197 to apply for aid for fall 2025 and spring 2026.
- Complete the SMHS summer '25 and fall 2025/spring 2026 Financial Aid Request Forms. Submit completed forms through this secure link: https://gwu.app.box.com/f/c4d8ea21a6d644e5a07450045b2e2a00
- Please only submit via email if you have issues with the secure link to medfinan@gwu.edu Pin password protected PDF format, with the password emailed separately.

Aid is disbursed evenly between fall and spring semesters. Students will be packaged as follows: institutional scholarships, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan. If additional scholarship funds are awarded to a student, the package will be revised. Current aid recipients need to apply for aid for the summer of 2025 and then fall 2025 and spring 2026. Please submit the corresponding financial aid request forms.

Please note that eligible students who are enrolled, at least half-time, in the MPH portion of the program will be eligible for extended Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan Limits. For the nine-month academic year, this is $33,000.
